You touched the gap between traumas. Because the doors themselves were apparently too straightforward.”\n\nBehind the FEAR door, a child’s voice sounds.\n\n“Daddy? Are you there?”\n\nNULL-1 freezes.\n\nThat voice does not belong to him.\n\nAnd yet it latches onto his wrist like a cold hand.\n\nLOG [RUN_SEED]:\n\n“Run source: fragment of child fear.”\n\n“Ownership: unverified.”\n\n“Resonance with subject: high.”\n\n“Reason: pain matches the shape of the empty place.”\n\n“That isn’t mine.”\n\n“Say that often in Synthoma. Not that anyone will believe you, but it sounds healthy.”\n\nThe white door glows faintly for a moment.\n\nIt does not open.\n\nIt only sends a single pink-blue pixel into the space.\n\nIt lands on NULL-1’s wrist, exactly where the cold child voice is holding on.\n\nThe cold does not ease.\n\nBut it stops biting deeper.\n\nLOG [WARM_ANOMALY]:\n\n“Unauthorized safety color affected RUN_SEED.”\n\n“Effect: temporary reduction of grip.”\n\n“Source: blocked.”\n\nSarkasma looks away.\n\n“You know what that is.”\n\n“I know you have to go through FEAR now.”\n\n“That wasn’t an answer.”\n\n“No. That was saving time. We’ll need it when your own resonance with someone else’s childhood trauma starts hunting you. The evening’s program is packed, so save complaints for the form.”\n\nThe FEAR door opens.\n\nNot inward.\n\nOutward.\n\nAs if the space behind it had pressed for so long that it decided to invade the Void.\n\nBehind the door is not a hallway.\n\nThere is darkness breathing with small lungs.\n\nNULL-1 feels that if he enters, he will take something with him.\n\nAnd leave something there.\n\nLOG [RUN_INIT]:\n\n“First run initiated.”\n\n“Sector: FEAR.”\n\n“Recommendation: submit to therapeutic exposure.”\n\nThe LOG shard reveals the hidden layer.\n\nLOG [EUPHEMISM_REVEAL]:\n\n“therapeutic exposure = forced exposure”\n\n“Beginner translation: the system will shove you into the dark and call it growth.”\n\n“And will you go with me?”\n\nThe red smoke withdraws for a moment.\n\nFor the first time, Sarkasma does not look amused.\n\n“I’m a firewall, not a miracle. But yes. I’ll go.”\n\n“Why?”\n\n“Because someone here has to annotate your fall with professional dignity.”\n\nThen, quieter:\n\n“And because someone already paid for me.”\n\nNULL-1 breathes in.\n\nHe does not know whether he has lungs.\n\nBut the darkness behind the door takes it as consent.\n\nAnd pulls him inside.\n\n[▼ You enter the run and try to hold the rules together](/chapter/0-2-run?locale=en)\n\n[▼ You enter the run and search for the flaw in the rules](/chapter/0-2-run?locale=en)","wordCount":2228},"links":{"self":"https://www.synthoma.cz/api/public/v1/chapters/0-1-start?locale=en","human":"https://www.synthoma.cz/chapter/0-1-start","markdown":"https://www.synthoma.cz/ai/en/chapters/0-1-start.md","book":"https://www.synthoma.cz/api/public/v1/books/synthoma-null?locale=en","previous":"https://www.synthoma.cz/chapter/0-0-null","next":"https://www.synthoma.cz/chapter/0-2-run"}}
